How long do Habibi NY fragrances last?

Our fragrances are formulated at 25% fragrance oil concentration — extrait de parfum level — which translates to 8–12 hours of wear on most skin types. Longevity varies by skin chemistry, hydration level, and the specific fragrance profile (lighter citrus and florals typically project for 6–8 hours; rich, resinous, and oud-heavy compositions routinely carry 10–12 hours and beyond). Applying lotion or body oil beforehand creates a longer-lasting base for the fragrance to anchor to.

What is the difference between EDT, EDP, and Extrait de Parfum?

Fragrance concentration determines how much perfume oil is present in the formula:

  • Eau de Toilette (EDT): Typically 5–15% oil concentration. Lighter, projects for 2–4 hours.
  • Eau de Parfum (EDP): Typically 15–20% oil concentration. Moderate to strong projection, 4–8 hours.
  • Extrait de Parfum (Parfum): 20–40% oil concentration. The most intense and long-lasting category. Habibi NY's fragrances sit at 25% — firmly in extrait territory — which is why a small amount goes a long way, and the scent evolves beautifully on skin for most of the day.

What is the oil concentration in Habibi NY fragrances?

All Habibi NY parfums are formulated at 25% fragrance oil concentration — the extrait de parfum level. This premium concentration is why our fragrances last significantly longer than most department-store options, and why even 2–3 sprays applied to pulse points is typically sufficient for full-day wear.

Are Habibi NY scents long-lasting on all skin types?

Yes — the 25% extrait concentration performs well across skin types. Drier skin types may find that fragrance fades slightly faster (dry skin absorbs oil more readily), which is why we recommend applying unscented lotion or one of our Habibi NY body lotions beforehand. Oilier skin tends to extend projection even further. Pulse points — wrists, neck, inner elbows, behind the knees — are optimal application spots because warmth amplifies the scent.

Is Habibi NY suitable for people with sensitive skin?

Our fragrances are crafted by master perfumer Dominique Bouley with high-quality ingredients, and many of our customers with sensitive skin wear them comfortably. That said, fragrance sensitivity is highly individual. We recommend:

If the vial isn't right for them and the full-size bottle is still unopened, they (or you) can email customersupport@habibiny.com within 14 days of delivery to initiate a return on the unopened bottle. What's the difference between a Habibi NY body lotion and a parfum?

Both products carry the same high-quality fragrance accords developed by master perfumer Dominique Bouley, but they serve different roles:

  • Parfum (Extrait): Applied to pulse points in small amounts; projects 8–12 hours; the primary scent statement. The 25% oil concentration means a little goes a long way.
  • Body Lotion: Applied broadly over skin after bathing; delivers an enveloping softer scent layer for 4–6 hours while intensively moisturizing with Shea, Cocoa, and Argan butters. It is not just a fragrance product — it is a skincare product first, fragrance second.
  • Best used together: Applying the body lotion first and the parfum on top creates a full-body scent experience that significantly extends longevity and richness — the lotion acts as a hydrating anchor for the oil molecules in the parfum.
